Bring on the Blasphemy
So there you have it. Today, those numskulls in the Dail have passed the blasphemy amendments to the defamation bill without debate. Funny how there was no public consultation on this. Where did this come from? Is there more to this?
At first look it seems that this is yet an another example of an out of touch, incompetent government. Who owns the hands up their arses?

OH MY GOD!!! (sic)
I am going to have a fucking field day with this one – as soon as I get mohammed’s cock out of my ass . . . or maybe I’ll wait for that holy reach-around he’s been promising me.
The wife prefers the Virgin Mary dildo just for irony of course, but isn’t adverse to the Baby Jesus butt plug now and again.
(This web-site is about to get filthy over the coming days)
Christopher Hitchens talks to Lou Dobbs on CNN about the UN anti-blasphemy resolutions. It seems Ireland is not alone as it enacts spurious measures in a bizarre attempt to protect religious groups who would use the law under the auspices of discrimination to curtail free speech and promote the notion of “thought crime”. There are many other facets to this which I hope to explore soon.
Another article this time from Canada on the same UN resolution.
Useless factoid #745
Jesus and most everyone in the bible was BREAST FED! – yummy.
Can you picture the holy boobies with little halo’s around them as the tiny rascal dined? “Left – right – left – right”, Mary would say as she tried to stop the mastitis from taking hold.
Jason Walsh delves well into this issue in his article on Spiked 20/07/09
Going on to highlight how efficiently new laws have been put in place regarding smoking in the workplace, lightbulbs, bin taxes and now monitoring of private electronic communications, he paints a familiar orwellian picture that is slowly becoming acceptable because we apparently can’t think for ourselves and old guv knows best.
It seems like we have either become more powerless or apathetic and this divergence has left the politicians all too indifferent. We have allowed the lunatics to take over the asylum as those who could really make a difference in policy making choose to stay well away.
To put a new spin on an ultimate truth:
“It is our inactions that are our grossest actions”

I should put my cards on the table here at this point. I do not classify myself as Atheist although I do agree with their stance on this issue. What is my religion? My answer: “none of your business!”. Ok, ok, that’s not true but the point is that I don’t want wear my views of the unknown on my sleeve. Yes, I said “unknown” as to mean that science can not proof it but it can also not not prove it. Do you see where I am going with this?
If I was to call myself anything the closest thing would be Agnostic, I guess, but even that term does not fit well for me. I like to be able to change my mind and I know I am quite open minded, perhaps too much so. But I don’t wreck my head too much on this because this suspension of disbelief is what leads to creativity and my brain is wired more in favour of this than in logic. (note: I am by no means insinuating that the left/right brain dominance thing has anything to do with science vs creationism, but it is something to think about)
We can debate about the difference between belief and faith but it still doesn’t get to the core of it. Religions were written by human hands and often the unexplainable became supernatural. People have bought (literally, yes) into religion and in most cases it has solidified a part of us we call the soul. It has made this real and has perhaps made us less responsible. But by enlarge, organised religion has exploited and divided the human race. The big question is whether the mission of the organised atheists will cause even more damage. My mind wanders to scenes of sea otters in South Park!
There is much we have to learn yet and I’m glad of this, we are evolving. I’m glad we don’t know everything, because that would be the end of everything and we would have to live past it to know. Every generation we evolve a little but our education system and religions try to keep us as patriots and zealots. We are been held back, this is true.
Writing on this website, we have given ourselves deitiful (new word?) titles. Of course this was with tongue firmly in cheek, but to me it also represents that we are all gods of sorts. We are masters of our own destinies, no matter how easy our difficult this is to achieve. I repeat, as they are words I should take more heed of… “It is our inactions that are our grossest actions”. If we could turn off our resistance to action on things of importance we would be much further ahead. I am open to the suggestions that we are more inherently connected with the universe and with each other than we realise.
Next thing is we will have missionaries travelling the world converting people to not believe a thing and they will all look and sound like…..
